The first approach with your clients Before starting a training session, it is necessary to understand the individual needs and abilities of your athlete / client in order to maximize the effectiveness of your work. These needs and abilities should be determined during your first consultation. The initial consultation is an opportunity for the fitness coach to establish professional credibility, determine client-preparer compatibility, and develop trust with the athlete/client. Confidence is an important point and it is developed when you ask the "correct" questions and demonstrating active listening to the answers.
