Yoga is a practice of developing consciousness which allows the calming of the mind and the channeling of the body's energy, particularly through breathing and postures . In India, yoga is inseparable from Ayurveda, traditional medicine, which aims to enable everyone to live in full health by maintaining their physical and psychological capital so as to never fall ill.

INDIAN PROVERB
1. WE BREATHE BETTER
In yoga, breathing and breathing ("prana" in Sanskrit) are essential and coordinated with the movements. Some courses even systematically include specific breathing exercises, “pranayamas” (which can be translated as breath control). They allow you to learn to better control your breathing. But also to purify and strengthen the body through “self-massage of the organs” which are done by inhaling, exhaling and retaining air in empty or full lungs. In addition, by breathing deeply, the brain but also the blood, tissues, muscles, etc. are better oxygenated.
2. WE RELAX
Being flexible is not just about being able to touch your feet with your fingers while bending your torso! Yoga postures aim to soften many parts of the body which are knotted, tense, blocked... or quite simply which we never or rarely move in everyday life. The benefit is that we will work on the flexibility of the spine. but also that of the hips, knees, ankles, wrists, certain naturally contracted muscles (psoas, hamstrings, etc.)... It's an opportunity to (re)discover your anatomy!
3. WE STRENGTHEN YOUR BACK
Many postures soften and stretch the spine, which allows the vertebrae to “loosen up”. In addition, it tones and strengthens all the muscles that support the back, while respecting good body alignment. Excellent for preventing back pain in sedentary people or certain athletes. Regular practice helps relieve tension in the upper back (neck, neck, shoulders, etc.), strengthen the back-lumbar area and the abdominal muscles. Everything for a strong back!
4. WE STRENGTHEN YOUR JOINTS
It mobilizes and activates all the joints (tendons and ligaments) and the muscles that surround them. Holding postures for several minutes relaxes the muscles and tendons, which then become softer and more flexible . Thus, the risk of injury is reduced because the joints are strengthened and more inclined to withstand the shocks and stresses of walking, going down stairs or even playing sports.
5. WE IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE AND BALANCE
During the practice, the emphasis is placed on body alignment, strengthening and softening the back. Obviously, we end up standing straighter naturally! Many postures also work on balance . As a result, we improve our proprioceptive sensitivity (which allows the brain to naturally adjust the position and movements of the body in space) and we perform more precise movements while minimizing the risk of falls and injuries.
